Managing product content and streamlining marketing ROI, young IIM grad drives Fintech vertical at Cygnet Infotech.
As I stepped into the corporate world as a fresh IIM grad, I was likely aware of this rollercoaster ride at Cygnet Infotech, given this exhilarating learning experience working under various entitled projects. At first, it appeared much more challenging which eventually smoothened with the right guidance and proper learning environment. I received hands-on training experience in Tax Technology and developed a deep understanding of the emerging OCEN (Open Credit Enablement Network) model in the Indian Fintech spectrum, working with product teams. Gradually I received the opportunity to work with the leadership team on esteemed client projects where I learnt different business aspects; meanwhile showcased my product understanding, creating value propositions for clients. I represented and participated in global events, engaged with multiple stakeholders to finalize brand positioning and enabled partnership alliances connecting with delegates. Being an engineer will define my experience curve at Cygnet Infotech as y=e^x, Y stands for numerous opportunities to learn and contribute to the team’s overall growth and individual vs X for the time. To simplify it, I was bestowed with the opportunity to manage a website launch and establish our presence in GIFT city, which showcased my seniors’ trust in me and belief in delivering objectives as a newbie. It has not always been work at cygnet but a culture that runs within every Cygnetian, adhering to our smart and connected ecosystem. I am always motivated to take up difficult tasks with various leaders guiding me to ensure I am working out of my comfort zone, and it comes with a reward of encouragement; an employee spot award for performing best of my capabilities. We prioritize not only our work meetings but team gatherings, where every team member is encouraged to join, leaving all priorities aside, building connected bonds and more to it we all are a family to each other for all good and bad times. Talking about good and bad times, I am blessed to be working with Dhaivat, CMO of Marketing, who would always be upfront with his sweet gestures and have fruitful conversations over lunch, travelling with him for events has always been a great experience. While working on another website launch, I met with a fatal accident and had to undergo surgery, but Kesha my go-to person for all work troubles and my manager ensured that she was there by my side to help not just with work but allowing ample amount of rest time to recover. Never had I imagined a fresh grad out of IIM would drive marketing vertical and be a part of this dazzling team at Cygnet Infotech.

Starting my professional journey from Cygnet Infotech, I had my concerns and worries, but Cygnet has been treating me like a family member since day one. The responsibilities and opportunities given never made me feel like a newcomer and always boosted my confidence. My mentor and colleagues have always been helpful in overcoming the challenges. I gained a lot of experience with tax technology and knowledge is still being absorbed because as a developer learning never stops. A statement that influenced my return to Cygnet was “Come Back Home” -Niraj Sir. Sometimes we switch our job for an opportunity to learn, financial boost or career growth, but re-joining Cygnet was none of the above, it was only the trust that the organisation showed in me and the value I get here. Responsibility comes with accountability but working for my own organisation again has come for me as a matter of pride and much more dedication.

Re-joining Cygnet is like a homecoming. Personally, what I have experienced in my current and previous stints with Cygnet is, the strong friendships and bonds we develop here. I have had multiple people tell me that they’re surprised at how easy it is to make friends here. Today, Cygnet is on the cusp of a new growth phase both in services and products. I believe that this shall open new learning opportunities for me, will further my growth.

“Once a Cygnetian is always a Cygnetian”. I did not learn this, but I realized this once I left Cygnet eyeing better growth. It’s when we venture outside, we realize the definition of growth which is way beyond finances. Being valued, being trusted, being recognized and many such factors eventually defines growth. I feel lucky and it is indeed a matter of pride for me to call myself once again “A Cygnetian”.
